Last year I was approached by Keldof Marketing to do the visual branding for the Roots Jam Session under my art arm Recycle Love, and it was great.  Flash forward 12 months and I got the call again from Kevin asking if i’d be interested in being the first designer in the 7 years of the Jam to come back.  Answer; YES.

2011 went much smoother as we had a year under our belt working together, thus allowing me to understand the deliveralbes and associated timelines they needed to hit.  The entire campaign this year came off as much more visually cohesive, from the website to the red carpet drop, the drink menus at the bar, the gobos projecting the logo lockup all over the walls to the complimentary screen-printed tees on the VIP patio lounge.  All-in-all, it was a great experience and an even better event!  Read the official Press Release to see all the artists on stage as well as in the audience. 2012?  We’ll see…

ETC.STUDIOS Branded the pop-up food shop ‘CHAYA GO’ just steps down from CHAYA Venice during their facelift for their 20th Anniversary next month.  Open from 5pm on 5 days a week during renovation. Why? The Japanese word ‘GO’ means ’5′. So there you go!  AND, in honor of the CHAYA Venice 20th Anniversary next month, a $20 donation to C-CAP gains you entry with All-You-Can-Eat sushi, beer, wine and sake.  Are you kidding me?  No sir, I am not.

Roots Jam Session 2010

It has been a dream of mine for the past 12+ years to work with the Legendary Roots Crew, and luckily enough Recycle Love, ‘the Art and Soul of” ETC.STUDIOS, was asked to work on the visual branding for the 6th Annual Roots Jam Session!  I put much time and love into an illustration that I  felt represented the band at it’s essence.  Something that would would visually read ‘roots’ and ‘band’ immediately. This year’s Roots Jam, produced by Keldof Marketing, and Tina Farris Tours, partnered with the launch of Reverb’s non-profit coalition: Green Music Group and thus took on a more ‘green’ and ‘environmental’ feel. Stay tuned for updates on how to get one of the 500 limited edition Lithographs I signed and numbered (a few with many musicians) and all profits going towards the non-profit.

The concert was amazing, the night fun, and I was even lucky enough to meet some of the tremendously appreciative band (Quest and Tuba specifically!).

I WILL work with them again!
