CHAYA FATHER’S DAY

And for Father’s Day… Poor Dad, still getting the same old same old!  Since the ‘New’ Old Spice advertising campaign is all the rave right now with their way-more-awesome-than-awesome creative, we decided to take a small bite from them and play off the nostalgia of the wondrous gift of scent we used to all give our Patriarch year after year. sigh.

CHAYA Mother’s Day Brunch…

And here we go with the art for Mother’s Day. Thanks to Christy Salcido at Chaya for knowing direction she wanted from day one!  Wasn’t sold on it at first, but I am really happy with how it turned out in the end.  Check it! Love it! Share it!

Man, I do love pink!

CHAYA VENICE 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Had so much fun creating the CHAYA Brasserie 25th Anniversary art that I was anxious to get onto the upcoming CHAYA Venice 20th Anniversary art for the event coming up on April 25th, 2010.  In relation to the visual merge between the French and Japanese styles for the Brasserie art, I wanted a merge between between Japan and the Venice beach theme… thus the re-illustration of the famous Hokusai waves combined with Mermaid holding their signature drink.  Pretty happy with it, hope you are!

the 6th Annual Roots Jam Session

It has been a dream of mine for the past 12+ years to work with the Legendary Roots Crew, and luckily enough Recycle Love, ‘the Art and Soul of” ETC.STUDIOS, was asked to work on the visual branding for the 6th Annual Roots Jam Session!  I put much time and love into an illustration that I  felt represented the band at it’s essence.  Something that would would visually read ‘roots’ and ‘band’ immediately. This year’s Roots Jam, produced by Keldof Marketing, and Tina Farris Tours, partnered with the launch of Reverb’s non-profit coalition: Green Music Group and thus took on a more ‘green’ and ‘environmental’ feel. Stay tuned for updates on how to get one of the 500 limited edition Lithographs I signed and numbered (a few with many musicians) and all profits going towards the non-profit.

The concert was amazing, the night fun, and I was even lucky enough to meet some of the tremendously appreciative band (Quest and Tuba specifically!).

I WILL work with them again!
